This two hour online training is designed to keep participants up to date with current themes, trends and best practice in relation to safeguarding in the context of young people’s lives and their use of technology and social media.
The training will be interactive and includes a briefing on contemporary issues including Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE), emerging threats and how offenders use the internet. By the end of the training, participants will have:
- An understanding of safeguarding in the context of young people’s lives and their use of social media.
- An enhanced awareness of offender behaviour, tactics and the use of technology.
- An insight into evolving social media trends, risks and best practice safeguarding responses.
- The ability to formulate prevention and intervention strategies.
